Rigoloccio’s Sparkling Wine is a Classic Method Brut obtained from Pinot Nero grapes grown in the high val Versa in northern Italy, near Pavia where the grape is most commonly found in Italy. A delicate, dry wine with fine and persistent perlage and a distinctly elegant finish.

Area: Alta val Versa, Province of Pavia
Altitude: 350m asl

Vineyards: 15 year old vines cultivated with the spur-trained system
Soil: rich in limestone

Harvest: at the end of August and beginning of September
Fermentation: in stainless steel tanks with aging until the following spring under temperature controlled conditions
Ageing: at least 18months in separate French oak barriques
Refining: between 24 and 30 months on the yeasts

Alcohol: 12.5%

Color: straw yellow with persistent, fine perlage
Nose: delicate aromas of fruit and bread crust with an elegant and persistent finish
