The name “Le Pinete” or pine forests derives from Bolgheri’s proximity to the sea and from what this characteristic imparts on the Vermentino: a wine with appealing, fresh fruit aromas and flavors balanced by a juicy sapidity. The intense and fruity character of the older, clay vineyard is blended with the wine from younger vines on the sandy and loose soils, adding a mineral note which enhances the fresh and marine drinkability typical of a summer wine.
