Ciliegiolo was historically blended with Sangiovese to produce Chianti wine, but its plum and spicy notes really emerge when vinified on its own in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness. A young wine that is easy to drink, with a crispy acidity, lively tannins and good persistence.

Soil: clay soils rich in stones and potassium
Harvest: manual harvest and selection at the sorting table in late September
Fermentation: after a light crushing of the grapes, vinification in stainless steel for 10-12 days.
Ageing: in stainless steel tanks for 6 months to preserve primary aromas
Refining: short bottle refinement before market release
Alcohol: 13%
Color: Ruby red colour with violet reflections
Nose: plum, black cherry, and spicy notes that emerge gradually with a lively tannins, crisp acidity good persistence.
